“The mind is as wide as the sky.”
Emily Dickinson was on to something when she made this observation. As a psychologist, I study and bear witness to the complexities of the human mind in clinical, applied and research settings.
I primarily work in health tech to create content and digital experiences that are based in behavioral science. I draw from theories of behavior change, behavioral economics, cognitive biases, and health communication literature to create product strategies that help people make (and want to make) healthy decisions that are good for them and their families. I am able to evaluate scientific studies, create research designs to evaluate outcomes, choose measures that will tap into desired outcomes, and propose, conduct, and makes sense of statistical data to help teams take actionable next steps for the product or program.
I’m also a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, insomnia, eating disorders, and complicated grief. I was trained from a clinical science perspective utilizing evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing) and have seen clients individually, worked as part of an integrated medical team, and facilitated group therapy.
